Curt Flood was a very productive player for every team he played on. He played for the Cincinnati Redlegs (1956-1957), the St. Louis Cardinals (1959-1969), and also with the Washington Senators in 1971. He led the National League in putouts four times and in fielding percentage twice. Curt Flood was one of the best players of his time and also one of the most highest payed. Since he was such a great player, the court's decision to overrule him was more challenging.
Curt Flood won the Gold Glove award his last seven seasons. He was the first African American to do so. This goes to show you how much work and time he put in to being one of the best of his time.
Flood won 2 world series championship with the St. Louis Cardinals and was a three time all star three consecutive seasons.
